The Multiscale Infrastructure for Chemistry and Aerosols (MUSICA) Project's goal is to create infrastructure for representing chemistry in any atmosphere model (i.e., model independent chemistry representation), including global models with variable grid resolutions. The MUSICA system includes a software library and APIs in different languages to accommodate atmosphere models written in different software languages.

The INRAE Multi-layer Simulator of the Interactions between vegetation Canopies and the Atmosphere (MuSICA) is primarily an ecosystem model focused on exchange between the atmosphere and terrestrial vegetation. NEWS & UPDATES
April 2026: We have added tutorials in python that demonstrate how to use the current modules in the MUSICA library (the model independent chemical module MICM and the photolysis rate calculator TUV-x). To launch the Jupyter Notebooks go to the MUSICA github page and click on the colored "launch binder" box.
