Workshop: FUNCHEM (2024)

A joint BBURNED/iLEAPS hybrid workshop was held 14-15 September, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

FUNCHEM: Fire UNcertainty in CHemistry Emissions, and Modelling

Workshop Goal/Outcome: The international initiatives BBURNED and iLEAPS hosted a joint 2-full-day workshop on biomass burning/fires focused on the themes of variability and uncertainty in fire emissions, atmospheric chemistry and processes, and modelling. The aim was to identify priority fire uncertainty research questions, discuss preliminary/ongoing science, and kick off a multidisciplinary special journal issue.
