Work With Us

ACOM addresses air quality and climate challenges by supporting a collaborative and inclusive research environment. Our work is conducted in partnership with other entities within NSF NCAR, and with members of the wider atmospheric chemistry community.

To maintain these partnerships and collaborations and, in keeping with its role as a National Center to provide both intellectual leadership and facility support to the wider community, ACOM has our own visitor program and supports visitor program across NSF NCAR and UCAR and ACOM actively advertises whenever we have postdoctoral opportunities and partners with related NSF NCAR- and UCAR-wide postdoctoral programs.

ACOM scientists are also actively engaged in various educational activities, for example, acting as mentors for the UCAR SOARS program, serving on graduate program thesis committees, and lecturing at universities. To support a more diverse and supportive community of atmospheric chemistry researchers, ACOM supports the Ralph Cicerone Fellowship in Atmospheric Chemistry and Earth System Sciences.

Postdoctoral Opportunities

The NSF NCAR ASP Postdoctoral Program provides an opportunity for recent Ph.D. scientists to pursue their research interests in atmospheric and related sciences.

Ralph Cicerone Fellowship

The Ralph Cicerone Fellowship in Earth System Science is intended for graduate students with experience in, or working with, underrepresented communities.

ACOM Visitor Program

Partnerships with the wider science community are at the heart of the NSF NCAR mission, and are an important component of all research conducted within ACOM.
