Atmospheric Composition Remote Sensing and Prediction (ACRESP)
ACOM has long made significant contributions to the determination of atmospheric composition via remote sensing methodologies. This includes design and deployment of satellite instrumentation, deployment of ground-based instrumentation, satellite data retrieval, provision of datasets to the community and data analysis. The Atmospheric Chemistry Remote Sensing and Prediction (ACRESP) section at ACOM includes several groups with expertise in satellite and ground-based remote sensing measurements of atmospheric composition, clouds and aerosols, and their combination with chemical models. ACRESP builds on our current satellite missions and our expertise and leadership in satellite remote sensing science, Earth System modeling, and data assimilation.
