Louisa Emmons and Andrew Gettleman promoted to Senior Scientist

I’m very pleased to announce that two of our Scientists, Louisa Emmons and Andrew Gettleman (joint with CGD), have just been approved for appointment to NCAR Senior Scientist. This is a great achievement, and like all high level Scientist appointments, only comes after rigorous evaluation by the NCAR Appointments Review Group (ARG) of the individual’s scientific accomplishments and international standing, community leadership and service. The appointment was approved this week by the UCAR Board of Trustees at their meeting in DC.

I very much look forward to Louisa and Andrew’s help in guiding the future direction of ACOM.
