Atmospheric Odd Nitrogen (AON) Data Acquisition System
The AON group had been using a legacy data acquisition system for data logging and control of the NO-NO2 two channel instrument. The legacy system had multiple components which were difficult to maintain due to the age of the components and inability to source spare parts. Also, new technology allowed a new data acquisition to be smaller and lighter. The AON group worked with Engineering Support to specify new electrical systems and connectors, an updated industrial computer for system control, and a more compact sheet metal enclosure. The updated data acquisition system was installed and used during the WE-CAN field campaign.
