UCAR hosted email

Will ACOM host an email account for me?

If you are a full-time staff member, your email will be hosted automatically. We require that email for UCAR business be hosted on UCAR's Google Mail service.  This email should be read in a browser environment, but if you wish, a systems administrator can help you set up the Thunderbird IMAP client.  Your address will be your username at ucar.edu -- for example, johndoe@ucar.edu. Our email system does spam filtering. We also filter out certain types of dangerous attachments -- those containing known viruses, and executable attachments.
