Sofia Chelpon

Sofia Chelpon is an ASP Graduate Student Visitor from the City College of New York. During her visit, she will be working with Dr. Laura Pan and other ACOM scientists who are part of the CONTRAST campaign. Her interest is to analyze CONTRAST data from the NCAR Gulfstream V research aircraft to investigate the tropical convection and convective transport. She will examine the tracers of different lifetime, together with cloud data to quantify the impact of deep conviction on the upper troposphere over the western Pacific.
