Randall Chiu

Randall Chiu will study the oxidation mechanisms of unsaturated aldehydes (alkenals) in the atmosphere. These compounds are potentially produced in the atmosphere, particularly in remote marine troposphere. Their oxidation could provide a source of glyoxal, which we will attempt to quantify experimentally. Randall is a visitor from Prof. Rainer Volkamer's group at the University of Colorado.
