This summer project will apply statistical methods to atmospheric composition and involve two main tasks. The first task relates to the link between climate and chemistry and will focus on implementing a Matlab code release of our chemistry-climate analysis tool for community use. The second task will use emerging techniques in spatial statistics to assess the ability of ground-stations to represent a larger atmospheric region. This will help understand the station-wise atmospheric representability and the persistence of pollution signals.
