Dr. Panka will be visiting ACOM to learn how to use the NCAR Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model (WACCM). With the help of ACOM scientists, he hopes to modify the model to simulate excited species that produce airglow in the mesosphere. This will support his work to retrieve atmospheric composition from TIMED-SABER observations.
