Francisco Gordillo-Vazquez

Dr. Francisco J. Gordillo Vázquez will be working on studies of atmospheric electricity using WACCM. In particular he will be including different parameterization of lightning in WACCM while performing many numerical experiments to investigate the possible global influence of Blue Jets, a type of upper atmospheric electrical discharges taking place in the stratosphere, in the chemical composition of the atmosphere of the Earth.
