FIREX-AQ Field Campaign is Underway

ACOM scientists and instruments fly from Boise and Salina

The FIREX-AQ field campaign began flight operations on July 24, 2019, flying out of Boise, Idaho. Equipment installed on the NASA DC-8 includes the following ACOM instruments for measuring atmospheric chemicals: CAFS, NOx Chemiluminescence, O3 Chemiluminescence, and TOGA-TOF. ACOM provides chemical forecasts using atmospheric models CAM-chem, FLEXPART, WACCM, WRF-Chem, and WRF-Tracer. Read more...
