| Abstract | The Asian Summer Monsoon (ASM) system has been recognized as an important driver of atmospheric composition changes at the top of the troposphere. The recent airborne field campaign, the Asian Summer Monsoon Chemical and Climate Impact Project (ACCLIP), collected the most extensive dataset to date on atmospheric dynamics and composition in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere (UTLS) over the ASM region. Post-campaign data analysis and modeling have yielded new insights into monsoon dynamics and climate variability. The findings also demonstrate that ASM convection plays a unique role in linking Asian economic development to global environmental change. This presentation will provide a brief overview of key results and research highlights. |
