2nd Ozone Deposition Workshop

workshop
Mar. 28 to Mar. 30, 2022

9:00 – 11:00 am MDT

Main content

Modeling ozone dry deposition at local-to-global scales: Synthesizing recent developments and establishing future priorities

Dates: Mar 28 & 30, 2022, 11-13 EDT (15-17 UTC) each day.

Organizers: Olivia Clifton (NASA GISS), Arlene Fiore (MIT), Louisa Emmons (NCAR/ACOM)

The focus of this workshop will be on ozone dry deposition to all surfaces (vegetation, water, snow, ice).

The workshop goals are to Identify recent advances in incorporating process understanding of ozone dry deposition into local-to-global models, and to establish future priorities for modeling ozone dry deposition on multiple scales.

Key outcome: build recommendations for representing ozone dry deposition in MUSICA and other multi-scale models.

Registration and survey

Because the workshop is only 4 hours long in total, we are requesting input prior to the meeting (in lieu of abstracts and short presentations by participants).  As part of the registration form, we are gathering information about existing studies, models and observations and your recommendations for future research.

Please register prior to Monday March 21 using this form.
