CONTRAST field campaign in Guam

The Baltimore Sun reports the ongoing CONTRAST field campaign taking place in Guam. Flights by three research aircraft allow scientists from NCAR's Atmospheric Chemistry Division, the University of Miami, and the University of Maryland to study the effects of tropical thunderstorms on the atmosphere, as towering cumulus clouds loft surface air high over the warm Pacific ocean.
