As with the main conference, the IGAC early career program will be going virtual this year and will take place the week prior to the main conference on 6 - 10 September 2021.
IGAC welcomes nominations and self-nominations to its Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) from the international community. Serving on the IGAC SSC is ideal for well-established mid to senior career scientists. IGAC is currently acceptingnominationsandself-nominations for SSC terms starting in 2022. Nominations for scientists working in Africa, Southern Asia, Europe, and the Middle East are strongly encouraged for this round. We also have an upcoming gap in expertise representing laboratory fundamentals. Nominations will be accepted until 30 May 2021.
The programme will cover: Arctic climate impacts of air pollution, Arctic-mid latitude linkages, long-range pollution transport to the Arctic, aerosol-cloud interactions in the Arctic, Improving observational capacity, Local Arctic air pollution sources and processing (including the forthcoming ALPACA project), Arctic urbanisation and air pollution.
As in previous meetings, the emphasis will be on getting together as a research community and sharing new analyses and progress on these different topics.
Eight webinars in April and May 2021 covering a variety of topics related to air pollution and public health including COVID-19, climate change and air quality, non-tailpipe emissions and more. For more information on sessions and registration, please visit the HEI website.
