How to print from Windows on the Guest Network
For visitors or staff who have machines on the guest (wired or wireless) networks at FL, we have provided an ability to print using the IPP protocol to our print server.
To set up a print queue in Windows:
- Decide which printer you wish to set up. Each printer has a label on it identifying it by name. For example acdps2s.
- Start "Devices and Printers" and click "Add a Printer".
- Select "Add a network, wireless, or bluetooth printer"
- In the next screen click on "The printer that I want isn't listed". (this can be done at any time while Windows 7 is scanning the network looking for printers)
- Enter the name like in this example

- In the driver selection screen choose an appropriate driver. Usually the "HP Universal Printing PCL 6" drive will work. For color printers, choose this driver, and then after the queue is setup up, go into printer properties and choose the "Color Management Option". Under that select "ICM Method: ICM handled by host system
